Born in Mumbai, Prashant is an award-winning screenwriter and producer based in Miami. His screenplays have garnered him recognition including "Best Screenplay Pitch" two years in a row at the Miami Media and Film Market for his feature scripts Nut-ivity  and Siblings. Nut-ivity also won the Pitch Contest at the 2018 American Film Market. 

Prashant collaborated on the feature film Sleepaway Slasher, produced by James Franco in 2016. He also co-produced the award-winning film I Am, starring Juhi Chawla and Nandita Das.

In 2019 he worked on the Alt Blaji web series Mentalhood, starring Karisma Kapoor. Most recently, he co-wrote and produced the award-winning short film The Woman Under The Tree,  which premiered at the 37th Miami Film Festival in March 2020 and went on to participate and win awards in film festivals across the U.S., Europe, South America, and Asia, ultimately getting a worldwide release on Apple TV.

Prashant studied creative writing at the University of Miami and screenwriting at Studio4 in Los Angeles and New York. He is a proud feminist, dog-lover, and a citizen of the world.
